Savoy Le Grand Hotel Marrakech

Great stay like akways

Pros: After eight years, it was wonderful to return to the Grand Savoy. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with lovely quality bedding. Breakfast is fantastic, and the staff are very friendly. The location is great — we walked to Marrakech every day. Weekends were loud and busy, but during the week it was wonderfully peaceful, just as we remembered. Highly recommended!

Cons: A tip: perhaps consider adding some sound‑absorbing pads under the chairs in the restaurant and on the balconies of the rooms, as the noise carries throughout the hotel.

Comfortable hotel, good location & friendly staff

Pros: Room was spacious and clean. We only stayed for one night because we missed our flight.

Cons: Construction by the pool. Not extremely comfortable for lounging. The speaker playing music by the breakfast area was too loud and crackly. Room service was very quick during the evening but the pizza was not good.

Pros: We stayed in the junior suite which was very spacious and pampering. The beds were big and comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious and well lit and the breakfast was rich and tasty. The staff was amazing as well, always smiling and willing to help.

Cons: The room could have a little more lighting as it was a bit dark. Everything else was perfect.

Perfect location for a first trip to Marrakesh

Pros: Beautiful rooms, comfy beds and super helpful housekeeping. Great location.

Cons: Building noise was a small issue but did not impact greatly. Pools unfortunately were too cold to use, but I am sure are fabulous when they have heated up more into high season. Some of the restaurant /bar staff not very proactive but the breakfast staff excellent .

Excellent stay 5 stars

Pros: Amine (sp) greeted us at reception when we arrived. He is excellent, friendly fast efficient and patient. He is a credit to the establishment. All the staff were very friendly. Location great. Prestige room was worth it. The breakfast was very good. The pools were spotless and the pool area too. Cleaning staff were also very courteous and friendly.

Cons: Buffet was extremely expensive for dinner but this is optional and we should have asked the cost before eating.

If we didn't have the building noise and the sunbed issues would have been perfect

Pros: We enjoyed the breakfast, lots of options, easily seated. The hotel entrance and bar facilities were very nice. The room was spacious, comfortable and well kept.

Cons: The noise from the building work was unacceptable. The information on the website said minimal disruption but it was far more than this and very misleading. The work also continued at the weekend, so no respite. The usual chasing for sunbeds at the pool away from the noise. I went there after breakfast at 08.30, all beds \

Pros: Nice room, very good breakfast, excellent Italian restaurant

Cons: Massive construction works are in progress so a lot of noise during day, check in was slow

Superb hotel in a good location and a 25 minute walk into the Medina. Very expensive drinks on site.

Pros: The room was generally superb. The fridge was not at all cold, I think influenced by the hotel not wanting guests to bring in beverages from outside. The pools were fantastic but SO cold outside!!

Cons: The prices of on site alcoholic drinks was staggeringly high - and I mean West End London high! This would discourage me from booking again but is the only real negative.

Really recommended.

Pros: Nice safe location. Great stuff. The swimming pools and the inside pools and the breakfast were great. The consierge was super helpful. I am sorry I forgot the name and the woman who finished our reservation in the desert. Thank you

Cons: Well, there is a little bother by the construction going on but we were far and it was compensated with other things.

Pros: Good location. Short taxi ride to medina. Need to haggle with drivers in taxi rank outside hotel for a reduced price. Spotlessly clean big hotel. Comfortable facilities and great pools. Great selection for breakfast and good service.

Cons: The noise of the works around pool and reception area is very loud. They are not minor works. Constant drilling and loud banging. Ideally get a room is in the building at bavk of the complex where noise is not a bother. Price of beer is excessive. Same for wine. Poor selection at bar and restaurant. All bars around hotel not serving alcohol during Ramadan.
