Riad Dar Tuscia

This Riad is situated in the ancient quarter of Bab Doukkala, 15 minutes away from the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square, away from the hustle of the heart of Marrakesh. A typical Arabian house, Riad Dar Tuscia provides a small, peaceful and softly coloured oasis, contrasting with the bustle of the souks that you find while walking through the citys narrow streets. The 5 charming guestrooms are uniquely decorated and styled. They offer a Wi-Fi internet connection and modern comfort. Set around a green patio, enjoy an ideal place to relax on comfortable sofas and have a cup of tea after a busy day spent in the Medina. Moreover, the Riad houses a hall with a fireplace and a terrace and solarium full of plants and flowers, with deckchairs and a typical Bedouin tent. For your well-being, Riad Dar Tuscia has its own Hammam, after which a relaxing massage will regenerate your body and your mind. Also, the cook serves a delicious tagine and traditional cuisine, sure to delight your taste buds.

Absolutely loved it. Beautiful Interior. Great rooms. And EXCELLENT food.

Pros: Loved 1) the interior ambience 2) extremely helpful stuff, speaks English 3) Great breakfast 4) neat and clean, 5) Great location.

Cons: Absolutely loved it. No complain, but just few suggestion. 1) Terrace could be slightly better maintained 2) Maybe slightly costly for season. But it is value for money. 3) Only maintain 1 or 2 wifi names with same pwd. Itmos confusing sometimes. 4) Bathroom felt slightly cramped. But manageable

a quiet stay not far from the medina

Pros: it's a small riad, very neat and clean, well maintained. The attendant is very welcoming. and the breakfast is typical. the rooms are big enough, nicely decorated. Windows open on the small patio, so do not expect too much privacy. Feeling at home :-)

Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful. In the mornings, they served a generous, typical Moroccan breakfast. Our room was cleaned every day and everything was clean. The accommodation is also recommended with children. The Riad is easily accessible by taxi. Jemaa el-Fna Square is a comfortable 30-minute walk away. The area is quiet and safe. Thank you for everything and best regards to the Kitchen Lady!

Lovely relaxing holiday

Pros: Relaxed, clean, great location (once we got our bearings) The staff were so friendly and so helpful. They organised a tour to the Sahara for us, arranged transfers to and from the airport.

Cons: I liked it all

Pros: The staff is incredibly kind and friendly (thank you Ahmed), and the fact that it’s an authentic Moroccan house makes the experience even more special. The decoration is beautiful as well.

Cons: It’s in the medina but a little bit far from the dynamic part.

Great value for money—friendly service, traditional breakfast, and prime location near historic site

Pros: Our stay was made truly seamless thanks to Manager Ahmed and his wonderful team. Ahmed was incredibly communicative, reaching out via WhatsApp even before our arrival to ensure everything was in place. The cooking and cleaning staff were warm, efficient, and served up a delicious breakfast each morning, complete with traditional black tea refills that added a lovely touch of local hospitality. The rooms were kept spotless, and our clothes were regularly organized—such thoughtful attention to detail. Ahmed went above and beyond by printing our boarding passes, which was essential for Menara Airport’s paper-only policy. Even after checkout, he graciously stored our luggage and invited us to relax in the living room and recharge our phones before heading to the airport. It was a genuinely welcoming experience from start to finish.

Cons: The location was ideal for exploring Marrakech’s historic sites, with Jama el-Fna, the souks, and Koutoubia Mosque all just a short walk away. Being so close to the old town made it easy to dive into the city’s vibrant culture and traditions. However, it’s worth noting that the area just outside the old city walls wasn’t as well maintained as one might expect from a tourist hotspot. The streets were often crowded, making it difficult for taxis to get through, and at times, the air carried an unpleasant smell—possibly due to poor sanitation or people relieving themselves in public. Dust was also quite noticeable, which may be uncomfortable for some travelers. Still, the authentic atmosphere and proximity to key attractions made it a memorable experience overall.
