Warm, friendly, confortable away from tourist crowd.

Pros: It’s in a great place in Marrakech away from the tourist hotspot and where the locals live and shop. The beds are comfy, rooms are spacious and there’s a gorgeous rooftop we didn’t get to use cos it was raining. But we were able to have a delicious dinner by the fire instead. Good for all seasons and Yusuf and Karima are just wonderful welcoming people. Can’t recommend this place more highly.

Interesting adventure

Pros: Youssef the host and his wife are really lovely people. They accommodated us in every way possible. The breakfast were really good and beds were comfortable. We appreciated the transfer arrangements as we required and the guide to get us to and from the souk.

Cons: The location did not suit us....the walking to and from souk wasn't that far but the constant danger of being run over or into from motorbikes was extremely irritating. We went to Marrakesh to find garden pots..we did not find what we wanted. As we drove to airport on last day we saw 100s of them 100m down the road from where we were staying. Mmmmm...

heartfelt, peaceful, humbling, inspiring and just a fabulous stay!

Pros: the host was more than excellent, best hosts I have ever experienced, they went over and beyond & happy to assist no matter what time of day or night - our stay was exceptional and would 100% go back to stay there.

Cons: It was the old medina which was what we wanted to experience so we didñ´t have a restaurant at our riad but we managed to experience a number of incredible culinery experiences & and spas so was just perfect.

Pros: Youssef is wonderful, the riad is lovely. We only had one night at Riad Honey, and loved every minute. Slept like babies.

Pros: Our host was an absolute treasure. He picked us up from outside the Medina (difficult for cars to travel inside) at very late hours in the dark, and dropped us off very early in the morning (also in the dark). He even bought us food for dinner upon request, and provided us with tea and biscuits upon entry. It has a lovely private terrace at the top for breakfast; the quiet surrounding area means sleeping was without external noise- fantastic. It's a beautiful riad.

Cons: The location was a 20 min walk to the main plaza of the Medina, which means that it wasn't recommended to return after 22:00 at the very latest.

Pros: The riad is beautiful and very quiet – a perfect place to relax after a day in the medina. We especially loved the terrace, where we enjoyed a rich and delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great: the walk to Jemaa el-Fna is easy, and it's also convenient to catch transport for trips outside the medina, as it's close to Bab Aylan where you can find shuttles and taxis. We were especially grateful to our host, Youssef, whose warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. He was always available and made us feel at home, offering helpful tips and taking great care of us. He’s a genuinely kind and generous person. What more can we say? We absolutely recommend staying here!

Youssef was an incredible host, he couldn’t do enough for us. Made us feel so welcome and aided us in all the essentials

Pros: Riad Honey is a hidden oasis amongst the busy streets of Marrakesh. This may be the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The lower courtyard is beautiful and where Youssef the host brings you a pot of mint tea upon arrival. The stairs wind up to the flower lined rooftop where you eat breakfast and relax on the loungers. The rooms are authentic and beautifully styled with very comfortable beds and aircon. Breakfast was such good value for money, we loved the omelettes and fresh OJ. Youssef was the most attentive and caring host, you can tell he loves what he does.

Cons: Nothing, it was the best!

Amazing Moroccan hospitality

Pros: Youssef truly embodies Moroccan hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I felt less like I was staying in a hotel and more like I was welcomed into a home. If it's your first time in Morocco or North Africa and you're feeling a bit nervous, don’t worry—Youssef will make you feel completely at ease. He goes above and beyond to offer help, support, and a warm presence throughout your stay. A special mention also goes to the rest of the riad staff, who work tirelessly to keep the place immaculate and ensure you’re well looked after. All in all, a perfect memory and a magical stay in Marrakech—something truly worth framing.

Cons: The only minor inconvenience was the 15–20 minute walk to the center of the medina. However, being slightly outside the main tourist area turned out to be a unique advantage—it gave me the opportunity to experience a more authentic side of Marrakech. I got to see daily life in a local neighborhood: children walking to school and playing in the streets, residents shopping for fresh fruit from street vendors, and a genuine sense of community that you might miss in the more touristic parts of the city.

We will definitely return to Riad Honey on our next visit!

Pros: We had an outstanding stay. Youssef and his family were amazing hosts, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The room was quiet and clean, the meals served were delicious, and the rooftop terrace was a peaceful escape from the busy Medina. Cannot reccomend Riad Honey enough!

Cons: No complaints!
