Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech

Wonderful stay at a superb hotel with the Atlas mountains as a backdrop

Pros: Fabulous main pool and other smaller pools. Wnderful breakfast with loads of variety on offer Huge comfortable room. Excellent golf course a short walk away or buggies readily available for those who needed them. Excellent tennis and padel courts

Cons: Pool water was a little too warm given the outside temperature Services at all meals was enthusiastic if a little haphazard - you get used to it after a while! Charging extra for tennis and padel was somewhat unreasonable given the high cost of the stay Restaurant evening meals could have more variety and there was little on offer for vegetarians or those with special dietary needs. Golf demands a local caddie, some of which are better (and more enthusiastic) than others.

Excellent stay, would go again!

Pros: Staff were great, I was greeted by my name by several members of the staff at a number of occasions. I was able to communicate with the concierge (Moulay) via Whatsapp and I suspect he even managed my requests on his day off. People in the golf shop are great. Facilities were top but I would have expected that for the price we paid.

Cons: Transport arrangements via hotel are overly expensive. Better to negotiate with a yellow taxi (half the price) or even better Uber (1/3 of the price). I was told Uber is illegal but service was great (Mercedes vans etc).

5* luxury but far from the centre

Pros: The rooms, pool area, facilities, food, concierge, spa, pregnancy massage

Cons: - Further from the centre than stated on here, takes about 35 minutes not 20. But there is a free shuttle bus 3x a day - Need more staff in the restaurants and at breakfast - Staff not very attentive around the pool

Pros: It was merely adequate. We were expecting more for the price we paid.

Cons: Long waiting time for checking into our room.

We were there to rest and relax: it was exactly what we needed. The staff is so kind and gracious. The food delicious.

Pros: It is very elegant, authentic and serene. The spa is gorgeous! Most importantly, everyone was so kind and welcoming.

Can’t wait to return, one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in

Pros: Just perfect. The hospitality, rooms, staff, pools, drinks - nothing could be faulted

Cons: Minor criticism that we decided to pay for breakfast as it wasn’t included - we had only just sat down when they packed the breakfast away, so we barely ate anything. It was our fault for not checking the times (it closes quite early at 10.30) but would have been nice if someone had told us they were about to close, as we wouldn’t have spent the money on it (it wasn’t cheap!)

Excellent hotel, friendly helpful staff, lovey and clean and well maintained

Pros: Everything was perfect and its not that often you can say that about a hotel, spacious garden suite room, the most comfy and big bed. Very clean and quiet, all the staff where fabulous, so happy to help and polite. Nothing was too much trouble.

Just fabulous

Pros: Amazing hotel, property and staff. I am hugely thankful for the whole team, from housekeeping ( such a lovely man who was doing the evening service), the room service who were delightful and so helpful and kind (for in room breakfast), the staff at the pool restaurant, Abderrazak is a gem! Choukran besaf à tous. I had the most amazing oriental service with the most lovely masseuse. Food and drinks excellent! Front desk and concierge super efficient as well as the baggage team! What I liked the most, beside the whole staff, was the great swimming pool, the gardens, lovely trees, golf course and the leisure and sports center. We will be back !

Pros: The different facilities. Able to use most of them; golf, tennis, Padel, table tennis. Also the location- away from Marrakesh and the Mountain View’s.
