Riad La Lumière d'Étoile

V pleasant and relaxing stay- loved every minute

Pros: Stylish riad, beautifully curated decoratively and spotless, comfortable rooms. Boutique hotel vibe and service, nice mix of European and Moroccan, lovely rooftop terrace close to vibrant sounds of the main square but on quiet out of the way lane. V pleasant and efficient staff and warm welcome from Giovanna. Excellent coffee and everything done as nicely as possible.

Exccellent Riad

Pros: We had an excellent time in this Riad and could not have been happier - great location, service, food, and staff. Highly recommend it.

Cons: No door to the shower, this was the only thing we would have improved as we were a group of friends sharing a room but soon got use to the shower being part of the bedroom!

Location Location Location - an amazing Riad.

Pros: This Riad is a great find and we had a wonderful stay. The location could not be better - having stayed in the heart of the Medina before, I found Lumiere D'Etoile very accessible - which is a real positive. It is near the Laksour Gate and a five minute walk away from amazing restaurants, the main square and all of the sights Marrakech has to offer. Ibrahim, the Manager, could not do enough for me and my friend - the staff were attentive and caring. Breakfast was plentiful - lots of variety including a choice of bread and pastries, fresh fruit and coffee/tea, freshly squeezed orange juice. My friend had a larger room with a sunken bath and she loved this. My room was smaller but perfect. The Riad also benefits from heaters / air conditioning in the room which was much appreciated during the cold weather we experienced. We booked the airport transfer and a hammam spa day through the hotel - both were great. Ibrahim was also great at helping us with reservations etc.

Cons: I honestly have no complaints about this Riad. It was absolutely lovely and the location is spot on. If they could have brought us more sun, that would have made it perfect! :)

Lovely riad in great location in the medina

Pros: Beautiful clean rooms. Comfy bed and good shower. Lovely rooftop terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Would be good to have a fridge in the room. Other than that, we heard some noise a couple of nights from the rooftop bar next door - but it was mostly drowned out by putting the air con unit on.

Very nice and stylish Riad, in a great location and with an incredible host!

Pros: This Riad well exceeded our best expectations. The cosy comfort of the place, the great location (very convenient to visit both the Medina and the rest of the city (thanks to being very close to one of the access doors to the Medina) and the stylish furniture and ambience made our stay unforgettable. Moreover, the host Giovanna and all her staff were very supportive in all possible ways, providing assistance and advices on how to best visit the city. Strongly suggested!

Cons: Basically nothing! The only mention could go to the fact that the rooms are not screened from the external noises and sounds. But it comes with the very nature of this Riads.

Pros: An exceptional place. The host and team could not do enough for us. It was one of the most welcoming places I have ever been and it was STUNNING.

BEST Riad in Marrakech!

Pros: Our stay in this Riad was one of the highlights of our holiday. Giovanna, the owner, did a dream job refurbishing the Riad and decorating it in the most marvellous way. Giovanna was lovely with us and the children. We were a family of 4 with two children plus mum and brother. We used two of the gorgeous rooms available. We were welcomed with moroccan hot tea at our arrival. We ate several times in the Riad, for dinner and a few aperitivos. The food was lovely. The breakfast amazingly good and also served so beautifully! The attention to details from Giovanna and her staff was really appreciated. We would definitely recommended it and will be back! We miss it already! Grazie Giovanna :-)

Cons: Nothing that we did not like. The only suggestion for improvement would be to let the customers know that the pools can be heated. We were not told and did not know therefore we felt we missed out on enjoying that part. It would have been amazing! Hope this helps future guests!

Perfectly designed Riad in the center of Marrakech

Pros: This Riad truly stands out. The unique design and impeccable cleanliness made for a fantastic stay. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. Highly recommended!

Cons: Really nothing.

Great value for money. Very clean and exceptionally friendly. Would highly recommend.

Pros: Fantastic location in the Medina but near the entrance to the Medina so easy to get taxis. Very friendly staff especially Ibraham. Lovely breakfast on the rooftop with beautiful plants and flowers.

Pros: Great location and clean, stylish little rooms. Ibrahim is great and very friendly. The option to have breakfast on the roof is nice.

Cons: It can get loud on the property since it has quite some rooms and seems to be popular with groups.
