Riad Karmela

An atmospheric riad, excellent food at both breakfast and dinner, great location. Fabulous staff.

Pros: Fabulous property with beautiful courtyard immediately outside our room. Breakfast was really good. Omelettes cooked to order. Cold meats, cereals, toast, crepes,an array of beautiful fresh fruit, jams etc The location is ideal for exploring the Souks, palaces, main square.

Cons: Nothing. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Pros: We love everything about the Karmela. The staff are amazing and so helpful. It's an oasis of calm in the Medina.

Cons: Everything was good.

Pros: We loved everything about this wonderful Riad The staff were so attentive the food excellent Hamman and spa super good and nothing was too much trouble from booking taxis or tuk tuks to recommended trips Rooms delightful and the whole experience was joyful

Pros: The staff were incredibly charming and accommodating and we particularly commend Fatima at reception and Omar who assisted with breakfast. Everyone was amazingly helpful and we loved the atmosphere of the Riad.

Cons: The noise in the alley outside the Riad mini princesse (where we were staying) was disturbing at night but unavoidable so I don't feel that it is the responsibility of the establishment. The beauty treatments were below standard I'm afraid and we felt that the therapists would benefit from more training

AMAZING!

Pros: Great service. Lovely breakfast. The entire villa was beautiful and traditionally decorated with so much character. Location was awesome

Cons: The faucet labels were confusing for hot/cold water. Sometimes the water turned cold as you showered but this was only for 1/3 of the showers

Beautiful riad

Pros: Location: a calm oasis in the hustle and bustle of the medina, beautiful interiors, friendliness of the staff, food.

Cons: nothing major to list, AC very noisy

Pros: A quiet haven in the Medina, several cosy lounge areas and a fantastic roof top terrace. Dinner was great, had some of our best meals in Marrakech there. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay. We had read that they served alcohol but this was not the case.

Comfortable stay but felt more of a hotel experience rather than a restful riad

Pros: Location is good. Aircon worked well. Breakfast was enjoyable.

Cons: We were kept waiting for over an hour for our room to be ready. When I went to check it appeared that we had been forgotten and our room had been ready for some time. The riad was busy with arrivals when we arrived (Riad Karmela is the central check in point for several other riads) and didn't have the relaxed feel we were expecting - felt more like a regular hotel. The wifi cut out persistently on our last night/day.

I can’t wait to go back

Pros: Apart from the property being a beautiful tranquil calming place, the staff could not do enough for us. I must point out that we are three disabled women and we want to have an adventure. The property could not have been more supportive and I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere that was so wonderful.

Cons: I liked everything. I cannot think of one negative. Highly highly highly recommend.
