Friendly family Riad in the heart of the northern Medina

Pros: We liked everything. The location is fantastic. It is tucked away in the northern Medina. Walking distance to everything. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Idar and Safar for making us feel so welcome. Also if you have the option of breakfast at the riad. Say YES it's delicious!

Cons: We honestly liked everything. Some people may find being able to hear the call to prayer in the early hours disrupting but it was no problem for us. This may have just been because it was Ramadan too.

Pros: The staff were very friendly, made it feel less like a business and more like a family place. We were well looked after

Cons: Not being used to very firm beds I found it a bit more difficult to sleep, but then for some that is perfect.

Breath of fresh air after some hectic days.

Pros: Friendly staff, very helpful and respectful, what a fresh breath of air after the poor treatment recieved at another riad. We were forced to move out of our rooms and ended up in this riad where they welcomed us with open arms and real moroccan hospitality.

Cons: Since the walls are quite thin we would advice the hotel to handle a no noise policy after a certain time, we were kept up until 3:00 am from loud travelers. Not for light sleepers ;)

Pros: We were traveling through Morroco and visited plenty of different Riads. Riad Sanwa was one of our favorites! The room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was amazing and the rooftop is super cosy. The WiFi works also great. But we want to give 10 points especially to the whole staff. We felt very welcomed and Idar gave us really good advices how to spend the day in Marrakesh.

Pros: The riad was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. But what made it special was the people. From the owner to the receptionists to the ladies, everyone was very nice and welcoming. Felt like im staying with family.

Authentic medina experience, really helpful staff

Pros: Quiet. Comfortable. Very nice rooftop terrace for breakfast.

Cons: Difficult to find, Google maps is misleading, if it works and some locals prey on new arrivals taking advantage of this. Clear information and a warning about the scams operated charging tourists for showing them where to go would be useful ahead of arrival.
