Pros: We had an amazing stay at Riad 1001 Couleurs in Marrakech! The location is perfect – just 15–20 minutes walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. The riad is easy to find, which made our arrival very smooth. The rooms were very clean, and the atmosphere was beautifully traditional, with authentic Moroccan decor that truly makes you feel the spirit of Morocco. A special thank you to Azedine – he is more than wonderful! Thanks to him, we had an unforgettable experience. He took us to an incredible Moroccan dinner and shisha. He explained their culture and much of Morocco’s history in great detail. He also organized taxis for us at very good prices, which made everything so easy and stress-free. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and Azedine always made sure to ask about our plans for the day and gave us helpful advice on how to avoid tourist scams. We highly recommend Riad 1001 Couleurs to anyone who wants to truly experience warm hospitality.

Brilliant riad
Pros: This was a brilliant stay. The hosts were so wonderfully helpful and so warm and generous. It was a very comfortable room, a great shower, and breakfast was lovely! We felt so relaxed once we got to the riad every time, and would totally recommend the it for the location in the medina. Lovely rooftop, great tea, brilliant staff. Already planning a return visit!
Cons: Nothing! Maybe bring earbuds if you are a light sleeper, when staying in riads, as the windows typically face into the central atrium so sound can travel in from the foyer. This is a general tip for travelling in Morocco 😊

Lovely authentic Riad with wonderful staff. Don’t expect luxury but a great experience for the price.
Pros: Very welcoming staff. Authentic feel. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: The beds in the family room were hard and the bathroom facilities were minimal.

Charming and very welcoming
Pros: We had a lovely stay here. It is a charming building and very clean and comfortable. Moroccan breakfasts were a great way to start the day. Azedine is a wonderful host. He warmly welcomed us, and was a mine of information. He arranged our tours to Atlas mountains and Essaouira for us. The price was good and we were picked up around the corner. He also arranged for a car to take us to the airport.

Pros: Host was amazing and accommodating with suggestions for dinner, trips and general Morrocco. Breakfast each morning was delicious with his own mint tea he was kind enough to make a large bag of for us to take home. The location itself was perfect, far enough away from the city centre you don't get the noise of the city but only a 15min walk from it all and very close by (5min) to pick up points for day excursions. Very good restaurants all within 15 min walk as well.
Cons: The room (floor/surfaces) could have been slightly cleaner however this was compensated by fresh bedding and towels each day.

Perfect stay
Pros: Wonderful stay in Marrakesh! We really felt at home, such hospitality is rare to experience. Azadine and Zach our hosts were real angels with us the whole time, helping us in everything they could. Wonderful breakfast, the riad was also very nicely decorated. They looked after your every wish. The city can be a bit stressful and chaotic but this accommodation is an island of peace. Thank you again for your hospitality, it was wonderful and we will remember it.

It was adequate as a stopover to catch a flight the following day.
Pros: Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the early breakfast was very nice.
Cons: The bathroom was not as clean as we would have liked and there was a continual faint smell from the drains. I hate to give negative points because the people were so lovely.

Pros: The most wonderful thing about this place are the amazing hosts. Azadine and Zakaria were very caring and made me and my family really welcome. The Riad is on the outskirts of the Medina and about half an hour walk away if you know where you are going. The app Mapsme was very useful to us in helping us to get around Marrakech. We felt very safe in the area. The Riad was very pretty with basic facilities but very clean. Breakfast was traditional and we enjoyed it.. Overall good value and I would love to come and stay here again.
Cons: Disliked · One of our rooms was on the top floor and it happened to be very noisy as you can hear the street noise such as motorbikes till quite late....the other rooms are fine.

The best stay ever!
Pros: Truly exceptional attention and accommodation from the staff. Zach (or Zak sorry haha) was extremely helpful! Great free breakfast, at the time we wished. Beautiful Riad, rooms are Comfy, nice and quiet. And has a rooftop!
Cons: Location is a bit further out from the centre but we didn’t mind. Still easily walkable.
