Riad Maiya

Pros: Great location to discover Medina and surroundings. Very friendly staff who helped out with everything if needed. The taxi service they offered from the airport was very useful, especially because they came to pick us at the drop off so it was easy to find the riad in the labyrinth of small streets. The riad is basic in color, but very clean and with a nice rooftop view. Nice breakfast too. Would highly recommend!

Good place to stay!

Pros: This place is wonderful! The team running the Riad is amazing—Carol is a lovely host, and Saka is incredibly friendly and helpful. The Riad is clean, beautiful, and fully equipped. Plus, the breakfast is delicious! Highly recommended.

Cons: Great central location, though the immediate neighborhood in the Medina is a bit run-down. Don't let the old streets fool you, though—the Riad inside is beautiful and well-maintained.

Pros: My husband and I had a very nice stay at the riad. The staff were super accommodating, Zahid and Yunus responded to our requests fast and efficiently and Caron was available over message. The location is perfect, away from the main souks enough to be quiet but close enough to walk to all the hustle. The breakfast was good and the lady making it was very friendly. There wasn’t too many people staying so it was fairly private.

Cons: Our room could have been cleaner, was slightly dusty in some areas. The cleaner does come in during the day however.

Great but…

Pros: I like the low key vibe, we didn’t cross once with any body, it felt like we were alone there, in our home! which is something I value when it comes to stay in a Riad after all its like a Guest House not a regular hotel and it should feel this way! Also I liked the fact that it was far away from the crowd and the noise so we had a peaceful time in there, Caron very attentive providing with full info, and Zahir kind and great host helping with our requests and providing with solutions!

Cons: I would like to say this as constructive critic i would say the same thing to a friend or a sister! And I would apply it if I had a Riad! Even though the Riad is beautiful and the staff is really nice, and I am aware i payed a fair price for the stay, based on my previous experiences in Riads, there is something missing in this one, and its the home warm vibe, the Riad feels a bit neglected, it needs some colour, I would water those Plants to look greener I would put some hamacas in the terrace in case someone want to sunbathe, i would burn natural orange and blossoms Moroccan smell at the entrance, I would have that mini pool with the water running to hear the calming water sound! (I think is broken) I would have shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, also a Bin in the WC and improve the cleanness specially under the bed, it was soooo dusty, Also those beautiful wool rugs, they need a good wash, for athsmatic people we have a hard time at night! Its just some little details they would make a huge difference and even rise the price :)

Exceeded my expectations in every way💫

Pros: It was outrageously beautiful. The photos simply do not do the place justice!! It’s hidden just a couple minutes walk away from all the markets, beautiful rooftop restaurants nearby, staff were exceptional!! Lubna served us a beautiful breakfast every morning and Zahir toured us around the property and was there for any query we had. Likewise Caron was available on WhatsApp at all times, so the communication was unmatched!! Also the beautiful Miska, the cat that looked for rubs and attention at all times made it feel like a home away from home. I found it was 100% value for money and I loved every second!!

It was great! If I were to return to Marrakesh - I would stay there 💯

Pros: First of all - this was the only place during our whole trip where we felt really welcomed! Caron and Falih did a great job greeting, explaining everything and helping us during our stay. Not only they suggested and showed us plenty of interesting spots to visit, such as different museums, cafes and historical placed but also were good company and answered my countless questions 😅 The suite was neat and stylish. Comfortable to stay. Not damp as other riads were. Roof terrace is a nice place to spend a couple of sunsets with your significant other with a glass of wine.
