A haven of peace amidst the busy medina

Pros: Very beautiful riad, lovely courtyard, rooftop terrace, very attentive staff. We booked a transfer from the airport which was a great idea, as someone from the riad came to meet us where the taxi drops you since cars can’t enter the medina. Great hot shower, lovely breakfast, so close to the main square so you can easily come and go… a little haven of peace amidst all the mayhem of the souks!

Cons: It feels a little faffy to have to knock on the front door and be let in every time you come and go, but I suppose this keeps security to a maximum so no one can wander in if they aren’t a guest. Take note that if you need to settle your bill whilst there it has to be in dirhams cash.

An oasis of calm

Pros: A very peaceful riad in the heart of the Medina. A great location to explore all that Marrakech has to offer. The staff are lovely, and very welcoming with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are typically Moroccan and a good size.

Amazing riad, lovely hosts!

Pros: The hosts were incredibly friendly and room was gorgeous and very clean. The bathroom and shower were great and the bed was huge and comfortable.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

Pros: Riad dar ayur was a very cute little riad. Just as you would imagine. The staff member abdel Kader was extremely attentive and nice. It's rare to meet such helpful people. The location of the riad was also excellent. In really only 2 minutes you are in the bazaar alleys and can enjoy. The large square is about 5 minutes away, so everything is within walking distance.

Cons: There is nothing to complain about here, you get a top riad for the price!

There was nothing I didn't like and overall it is a lovely room. We had the Desert room and the bathroom and shower were separate. I showered in the dark at night as anyone on the roof terrace can look straight down into the shower. The WC is a little awkward, by the staircase going up to the roof terrace. One night, going to toilet in the dark, I banged my head, walking straight into the stairs so a wooden decoration fell down and possibly woke up the whole dar. I did not hurt myself but it is awkward and a simple solution is to make the door go outwards instead of inwards so you don't have to go around the door to the toilet.

Pros: Cleanliness and comfort. Our hosts were very nice, the atmosphere was great. The building looks exceptional. Room service every day.

Cons: The breakfast is this location is rich consisting of natural juice, tea, coffee, yogurt, processed cheese, bread, jams and sweet pastries, always served with a genuine smile. Overall, in Marrakech a breakfast consists mostly of sweet products.

Pros: This is a great Riad in the heart of Marrakech just a couple of minutes walk from there main square, Jeema el Fna.

Very pleasant, good location, nice staff.

Pros: Good…omelette offered which I Like as too much carbohydrate usually. And a pot of hot water for tea….really hot.

Cons: I wasn’t sure that the very nice guy, who was there most of the time, really understood English. But we got by.
