All good overall, all good

Pros: Central comfortable polite staff happy to help wherever they could

Cons: Quite cold at night in the winter lights didn’t work one night and I had trouble locking the door at night, but that was not a problem because I wedged something against it for security so felt safe

Great price and location

Pros: The price and location are fantastic. It's only 400m away from Jemaa El-Fna and other popular sights, as well as being a few steps away from mini stores to get water or juice. I had made a mistake with my booking date, but the man at the front counter was very accommodating and it was no problem to check in a day early. There is a cleaning service that comes daily to ensure the floors, bathroom and shower room are always clean and tidy. It was cold when I visited, so they left a huge, really thick blanket in the room for me and it did the trick.

Cons: The room was humid and my damp socks didn't dry in 36 hours. I had tried to arrange an airport pickup through the riad, but they never responded to my messages and I had to make other arrangements. As well, if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs as sound travels easily.

Good value!

Pros: Friendly people and very affordable One of the rare places where the hot shower was actually hot in Marrakech!

Cons: Not extremely luxurious, but to be honest fine for the price

One night stopover on the way to Sonara Festival.

Pros: Excellent location, very good value for money, very friendly and funny staff. No heating, cold in the winter, but that's to be expected in an old Riad style hotel.

Perfect location with good price

Pros: The guy in the desk is very funny but keep it in mind they are not european so respect that. The location is perfect! Even if looks like a dangerous street but nothing will happen Amazing rooftop

Cons: The windows are huge and without window blinds is conolecated to sleep One pillow felt like rock You need to ask for everything, towel, even toilet paper. The light in my room did not worked The wifi only work in a specific place

Pros: I came here the second time, and did not get dissapointed! Very friendly stuff, thank you for your kindness, i get a room at the 2. floor as i asked for it in an email. The room had a ventilation as well. Toilet paper where full everywhere. Was for sure not my last stay in this Riad!

Good value and great location. Would stay here again.

Pros: Great value for money, perfect location down the quiet sidestreets of Medina. Its super quiet at night especially with the fan running. We checked in around 3am with no issues and found it easy to find the place, it has a sign saying Hotel El Amal. One staff member is nice, the other is cold. We were worried about finding a place to book in Morocco as I think there are many fake reviews but this met our expectations. We even rebooked here after our 3 day desert tour. We were very happy as we requested the same room which they gave us. It looks like the photos but a lot older and dustier, it's liveable and no bugs around. It would be perfect wiith a deep clean. The bed was pretty clean the second time we stayed but the first there were hairs on the sheets. We loved that it was very quiet and the bathroom is cleaned well each day. Toilet paper was stocked regularly.

Cons: They need a cover for the window it is super bright in the morning, even at night. You have to ask for towels.

It’s basic, it’s clean, it’s central

Pros: Staying in the Riad means you are putting money back to the locals and not a millionaire. So this means you may need to skimp on some luxury’s. We enjoyed the stay but it’s basic, but clean! Don’t be fooled by the access route as there are a ton of hotels in that small area. I’m from Scotland and when we hit there the say time was 45 Degrees and the nighttime was around 30 degrees. The owners took pity on us and gave us a fan. But it was all workable. It’s just a stones throw from the Medina, so you can stay out from 9am to midnight and there’s tons to see. It only really comes alive after 7pm

Cons: To be honest I was ok with it.
