Great stay - beautiful Riad

Pros: The food was excellent, the room was comfortable, clean and the riad was beautiful. Lots of beautiful decor. They made adjustments for allergies. We stayed after reading a review in The Times which did it justice. It was quiet and peaceful.

Cons: Although there’s a menu in the room for drinks and a bar mentioned on the listing it’s hard/awkward to order. The riad ‘guardian’ was sometimes on the roof terrace on his phone in casual clothes which made it awkward to use/enjoy. The guardian was extremely quiet and reserved so it was hard to get recommendations or ask questions (as he didn’t make conversation and disappeared asap). Couple of things missed by staff.

Pros: The location was great being a short walk from the main square. It was very quiet. The property is very chic having been recently renovated by an architect. I appreciated the architectural details.

Cons: Although the property looked beautiful, I would mention a few things. The breakfast was delicious and very generous but there was almost too much food. We felt we had to eat it but didn’t necessarily want to eat so much. We would have preferred a plunge Poole in the courtyard or in the roof, rather than in the individual room. Also the common areas were slightly sparse - they could make them a bit more comfortable to sit in, especially the roof top and the lounge area. Also the lighting in the room was too dim to read by.

A Medina home to call our own

Pros: It was indeed a home away from home. Everything exceeded expectations from the beautiful architecture and furnishings, to the attentive staff, to the wonderful breakfast spread, to meeting the welcoming owners!

An oasis of cool, calm, and comfort.

Pros: This property is still new enough to feel like a hidden gem; following our recent four-night stay, however, I can't imagine it will remain one for much longer. Nestled right in the centre of the action, Riad Romeo couldn't be better situated within the Medina. Due to its timeless-yet-stunning design, however, it also manages to provide a real sense of escape — an oasis of cool and calm away from the hustle and bustle. Add to that the best shower and comfiest bed I've ever had, plus an incredibly attentive team – thank you, Diletta and Moustapha – and I can't recommend this riad enough.

Relaxing and different, a must for any design fans

Pros: Stunning new property in the heart of the medina. Design was thoughtful and chic, bed was very comfortable. For me the biggest highlight was the help and care we received from the team there, it was a totally custom service. They helped us out with recommendations and bookings and even brought breakfast up to our room for us when my husband wasn’t feeling well.

Pros: El lujo de lo sencillo, el cuidado de los detalles, la atención de Diletta y Moustapha, los maravillosos desayunos y las cenas en un hotel de autor con la firma de Romeo Gigli. El córner de la tienda con prendas del estilista, cerámica de Lara Arango y marroquinería de Diletta Gigli. Todo en un espacio racionalista y metafísico en el corazón de la Medina. Un oasis en el centro de Marrakech.

A perfect blend of comfort, privacy, design and warm hospitality we couldn’t have asked for a better place

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay. Riad Romeo felt like our own private villa, which made the experience truly special. The staff we met, Moustafa and Fatima were kind, warm and welcoming without ever being intrusive. It really felt like we were in the right place. We are sorry we didn’t get to meet Diletta in person, but she was incredibly helpful through messages, recommending places that suited us perfectly.
