Riad Catalina

Beautiful and comfortable

Pros: The property was great—very beautiful and full of plants, like a real Moroccan riad. The riad is in a very quiet part of the medina and very close to everything. The rooms and bathrooms were also stunning, clean, and tidy.

Nice stay in perfect location within the medina, breakfast has margin to improve;

Pros: Very good location, quick access to Medina Souks, main city-center square, secret-garden, nice restaurants in walking distance

Cons: Breakfast room was very poorly heated for January season, most of guests as ourselves had breakfast with jackets and/or coats; breakfast incl. service was in our opinion quite below expectable for a 4star-level in booking; occasionally cats in the corridors and breakfast room

We are a well traveled family and know a good place from a great one and this was great.

Pros: The Riad was a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, always calm, quiet and peaceful.

A wonderful riad snuggled away in the heart of the medina.

Pros: Great location once you find it snuggled in the media area and close to many attractions. The resident cats and tortoises are lovely. The rooftop pool is great to cool off in, and the staff are very helpful. As with most riads, there are a lot of stairs, but these are lit, and you get used to the ups and downs. The cleaning staff are exceptional. Rooms are not massive but secure and ample enough. The food is good with a robust offering for breakfast, which is a mix of English and local fare. You can also get good evening meals and drinks in the day.

Cons: Nothing. Riad Catalina did exactly as it offered and maybe more.

Relaxed and friendly in a perfect location.

Pros: The team at Riad Catalina could not do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay with them. They were so helpful and friendly and were more than happy to help. The Road itself was very clean and in a great location just on the edge of everything.

Cons: As with any Riad there are a lot of steps so if you have any mobility issues maybe request a room on a lower level.

10/10 would stay again

Pros: Great pool and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Also great location.

Pros: We booked a room in this riad because it had a beautiful private tarace. When we arrived it turned out that they have 2 rooms of the same category and the one we got was dark with no terrace at all. I was very disappointed and felt cheated but Nadia, the hotel manager showed real care and hospitality, she was extremely apologetic and offered to go with whatever our decision was. We could book another hotel (which was not convenient as we just returned the car and were too tired to walk with luggage) or take an upgrade offered by Nadia, which was very a spacious beautiful apartment, but on the patio (we always go for the upper floors with views, we don't like dark patio rooms). We decided to stay in the patio apartment, and we additionally were offered a dinner for free. So although we did not get what we should the stuff handled the situation in the best way possible and we appreciate that. The food was delicious and the whole riad looks cosy and nice. And they have lovely cats!

Lovely staff, great location and traditional Rhiad

Pros: The staff were lovely and if you want an authentic experience this is the place to stay, the breakfast was lovely and location was great (although we did get lost a few times!)

Pros: Everything was just excellent! The staff were super friendly, the Road was so beautiful and extra bonus was the two turtles that lived there and three cats (two kittens at the time). Good food! We had the luxury to stay in the Suite Royale which was very large, two floors, two bathrooms! Fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cons: The pool was a bit on the small side, and it was a bit cold. (We were there feb 25). Everything else was great!

Truly worth it - We'll be coming back!

Pros: A charming property filled with character. The courtyard was stunning, with a vibrant garden that included adorable cats and a couple of tortoises as residents! The terrace truly is a sun trap, and the pool is great for cooling off. The location was perfect, and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful, all having a kind nature. The included breakfast was also lovely, and our meals in were brilliant. I couldn't recommend this Riad more highly.

Cons: Nothing - We'll be coming back!
