Best place we’ve ever stayed

Pros: The team at Hikaya went above and beyond to make us feel completely at home. It’s an oasis of calm in a lovely area.

Wow is all I can say.

Pros: We had an absolutely incredible stay at this riad, genuinely one of the best places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive and could not do enough for us. They welcomed us with mint tea, provided a map, gave fantastic recommendations for places to visit and arranged taxis whenever we needed them. Communication through WhatsApp was seamless and it was so reassuring knowing someone was available 24 hours a day if we had any questions. Our room was unreal, beautifully designed and something really special. The rooftop was spectacular and the perfect place to relax. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. We also had a hammam at the riad which was a brilliant experience and added to how relaxing and indulgent the whole stay felt. The attention to detail, service and atmosphere made this stay stand out. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The staff were amazing, couldn't do enough to help. Location was great, a 15-20 min walk to the main square but felt very safe.

Amazing stay

Pros: Our stay at Riad Hikaya was wonderful and a real highlight of our holiday in Marrakech. The riad is beautiful, calm and perfectly located near the entrance to the Medina so it’s very easy to reach by taxi. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding level of service — the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always happy to help. We had dinner at the Riad multiple times during our stay and each time the food was incredible. Overall we felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay and would highly recommend Riad Hikaya to anyone.

A very authentic and special place

Pros: Riad Hikaya was the perfect place for me and and my friend to stay for 4 nights over New Year's. The location was incredible, being very close (20 minute walk to the main souk) but yet far away enough for it to feel like a very quiet and safe area. The Riad itself was beautiful and authentic, our room was really spacious and clean, and the facilities were 10/10. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. The staff couldn't have done more for us, they were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond offering us tea, fruit, pastries, water etc, all complimentary. They helped with taxis, restaurant recommendations, and were always on hand to help answer any other questions. It was also my birthday when I was there and the staff surprised me with a cake a song and a cake which was so special. We also enjoyed a Hammam and massage which I would also recommend! I genuinely can't recommend this Riad highly enough!

Cons: This will not bring my score down from 10, but just as a heads up we had a room on the bottom floor next to the kitchen and the dining area so it was sometimes a little noisy (not crazy loud), so if you are a light sleeper either bring earplugs or ask for a room upstairs.

Royal stay at a traditional Riyad setup - excellent service

Pros: Hospitality was too good. Courteous staff and every possible care taken to make us comfortable. Traditional Riad setup made us feel royal.

Cons: Space is bit crunched but that’s fine as all other things were very good.

.Lovely people with a homely feel

Pros: Lovely place with staff that are always there and always ready to help. Room was very good, breakfast was very plentiful and fresh. Couldn't eat it all there was so much. Good location in the south side of the old town in the kasbah. A good 15 minute walk to the square and the souk.

Pros: The staff were very professional and friendly. The little touches like petals on my bed and the lovely necklace they gave me when I left were a lovely touch. The riad was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The rooftop was beautiful, and the view of the Atlas mountains in the morning was stunning. I prefer an authentic riad experience, so I didn't use the TV, but for those people who require one, the room facilitated it. The bathtub was a blessing in December, and I felt like a princess whilst using it. The heating in the room was adequate, and I never felt cold.

Cons: The riad was quite remote and incredibly quiet inside. During the evening, a few candles and soft music would have been nice. After around 8.00, I felt rather isolated and alone. Everything seemed to shut down. This could be due to the time of year, but there was an obvious lack of atmosphere. I almost felt as though I I was convalescing after a long illness. This is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful, tranquil experience, however.

A serene, beautifully curated stay that felt like a calm breath in the heart of Marrakech.

Pros: The riad felt like a calm escape in the middle of Marrakech. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely kind. My room was beautifully prepared, spotless and full of small touches that made the stay feel personal, they made me feel like family, a definite yes for solo female travellers. Breakfast by the pool was a highlight fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The entire atmosphere feels intimate, peaceful and authentically Moroccan.

Cons: Nothing major. The medina can get a bit busy when walking in and out, but once inside the riad it’s completely serene. Everything else exceeded expectations

Pros: Riad Hikaya is stunning, peaceful and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, in a quiet area of the very friendly Kasbah district, yet an easy walk to some brilliant cafes and restaurants. The breakfast, served on the roof terrace is superb. Five stars all around.

Cons: Nothing, it was all perfect.
