Riad Taghazoute

Very welcoming, hospitable staff, amazing location and great price.

Pros: The staff at this Riad were amazing - very helpful atvthe front desk and the women who did breakfast and the cleaning were wonderful, very accommodating. Breakfast was big and beautiful! The location was perfect - a 60 second walk to a Main Street and no maze to navigate. We walked to and from the Riad at all times of night and day and always felt safe. Our bathroom was perfectly clean with a big shower space, and a rainforest shower head. Always had hot water. The roof terrace was lovely for breakfast, but also really nice to relax during the day and evening with a book. Abdel (I think!) also arranged taxis to and from the airport for us, printed new boarding passes and gave recommendations for places to go.

Cons: The only issue we had was noise. I had requested a room above ground floor level, however this was not met. The Riad was full so I understand this. The only problem with ground floor room was that everytime someone came in the Road we could hear them at the desk. Sound travels in a Riad anyway, so it cannot be totally avoided, but being higher up would’ve helped I think. However, that didn’t take away from our stay too much and I would still 100% recommend a stay here.

Pros: I had a very pleasant stay. The bed linen was clean and fresh, and the towels were white and spotless. Everything felt well maintained and carefully prepared for guests. I truly appreciated the attention to cleanliness, which made my stay comfortable and relaxing.

Pros: The breakfast was very good. The room was very nice even if it was not one of the best rooms in the riad. It was quite cheep though.

Pros: The location is perfect for short stay, the reception staff is amazing, absolutely nice and helpful. Very close to medina still in a quiet street. Rooms are small but clean, and gives an authentic atmosphere. It was important to have some heating, as this January is unusually cold.

Cons: As it is a traditional riad, all the rooms open to the inner courtyard, you can hear the other guests. It was not an issue for us, just be aware of that before booking.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was very beautiful and authentic, and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was very good and freshly prepared every morning. The receptionist was very helpful with everything we needed, and the lady who prepared the breakfast was especially lovely and kind. Everyone was very warm and friendly with our son and our whole family, which made our stay even more special. We truly felt cared for and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Pros: The place has a very good location in the medina, close to tourist spots, with many restaurants and shops around. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was homemade and fresh. We even received a free upgrade to a bigger room.

Super close to the central area of Marrakesh, great price-quality ratio!

Pros: Located very close to the city center in a quiet street. Beautiful place, good price-quality ratio, kind and helpful team and tasty breakfast. Beautiful courtyard and terrace to have a breakfast at!

Cons: The room and bathroom were clean but when we moved the bed and there was a bit of mold, just like in the corner of the bathroom. Nothing dramatic (I’ve seen far worse), but it needs to be removed.
