Excellent stay in a great location

It’s a very beautiful riad and well-located.

Pros: The interior is so beautiful. The location is good. And the staff is also kind and attentive. The breakfast was really good, even too much for us as we couldn’t eat them all — I love that the orange juice was fresh.

Cons: The pool was not really well kept during our stay. I didn’t dare to swim in it as there were some (dead) insects floating.

An absolute gem.

Pros: Helpful staff, great location, spacious room, comfortable bed, palatial ambience, great breakfast.

Cons: Having to leave after three nights.

Stunning location and great team

Pros: Riad Esmerelda is simply a gorgeous building and an amazing guest house! This traditional style Riad/ guest house offers a stunning mosaic tiled, multi floor, cool, quiet (except morning birdsong) haven just off Rue Fatima Zahra by the Bab Doukkala Mosque a short walk into the bustling streets of the heart Medina. Our hosts Youssef and Mohammed (and their team) could not have been more helpful, friendly knowledgeable and accommodating. Breakfast was simple and delicious, beds were warm and comfortable and our room was filled with beautiful traditional local decor. They also have a fantastic roof terrace for a romantic evening drink under the stars or lounging in the sun and a small bathing pool at the centre of the ground floor. You have to see this place to believe it. Highly recommended.

Pros: Beautiful Riad with amazing team led by Youssef and Mohammed. Incredibly helpful great breakfast. The Riad is well positioned within all sites etc

It was a great stay.

Pros: Riad is beautifully and traditionally decorated. It is located perfectly as you have easy access to Medina and Hivernage, which are the two most important areas. Value wise it offers the best proposition compared to ultra expensive places.

Perfect location, perfect hosts, perfect!

Pros: The Riad is like a palace. Absolutely beautiful. Yousef and Muhammad are superb hosts. The breakfast is wonderful.

Cons: Some softer pillows would have been to my liking but I slept well.

Pros: The Riad is stunning. Of all its spaces, the fireplace by the lounge and the terrace became my favorite sanctuaries. The lounge, warmed by the gentle glow of the fire, offered a rare sense of calm—an inviting place to sit, breathe, and let the world slow down. It felt intimate and grounding, perfect for moments of solitude and reflection after the energy of the city’s. The terrace, on the other hand, carried a different kind of magic. Open to the sky, peaceful and unhurried, it was where I found true tranquility. Whether in the soft light of the morning or the hush of the evening, it offered warmth, stillness, and space to simply be. A place I would return to at any time.

Beautiful riad with exceptional service

Pros: Our deluxe suite was outstanding. Huge and with authentic decor and unusual furniture. The staff were excellent and helpful..particularly Yusef and Mohammed. The breakfasts varied each day and we're wonderful.
