Cosy Riad

Great location and value for money

Pros: The location was close to medina. They organised airport transfer and the housekeeper was there to meet us to show us to Riad. Lots of space and terrace was a bonus.

Pros: Comfortable and safe location in the heart of the Medina. A small amount of noise is expected for anywhere in the city. Small pool was nice to cool off late in the day. Ophelia had great communication.

Cons: Curtains on the bedroom windows would be good to block out the morning light. A translated card with basic information about the property in English would be helpful and maybe a little information eg wifi, 1 euro for a large bottle of water is common etc. The housekeeper was wonderful but didn't speak any English, but we got by with google translate. Note to other stayers- that there are nearby kids who are quite insistent on trying to assist you with directions and would like money for it, had to say no politely a few times and just walk away.

Loved it!

Pros: As a small family it was fantastic to be in the medina and have so much space. We loved the location, the streets are full of fun with great restaurants close by. The terrace was perfect for us, it gets the sun all day and has rugged views of the rooftops and the beautiful Atlas Mountains (sunrise and sunset are incredible) Breakfast was varied and a great option to start to the day. Staff were friendly and helpful and they let us leave our luggage both before check in and after check out. The pool was chilly (it was January!) but the kids loved it and were in every day. Great to have all the kitchen facilities and a washing machine. We loved everything and it was such great value for the whole riad!

Cons: We really struggled to find the property. Taxis can’t access the roads and alleys and the location on google maps isn’t accurate. There is no riad sign or even house number. We eventually managed to get hold of the housekeeper who met us and took us to the riad but this was midday, if it was night time it would have been even more stressful.

A really lovely beautiful Riad!

Pros: The location was great! Directly in the Medina, and just around the corner from the buzz. What made it the best! Groceries are easy to find everywhere around the Riad. The house is really big. And the rooftop was lovely to have! The beds were super comfortable. The best we had in Morocco. The interior of the house was really well decorated. We loved it! Our host was very fast and super nice and helped us out a lot!

Cons: We loved it! But here are some ideas to fix: We booked for 5 persons (the house is for 6 to 8 persons.) But there were only 3 comfortable places around the dining table. Also the dining table was really wobbly. Very unhandy. In the evening the living room was really cold! All the windows without glass made it draughty. (It was the coldest December they ever had) At the rooftop there was a nice relaxing-seating area, but also her only 4 persons could fit in there. There were 6 dining chairs on the rooftop. So 1 person needed to sit on the chair.

Stunning Riad in Medina

Pros: Beautiful Riad in the middle of the Medina. Location is just great. We were 5 girls and never felt unsafe walking to the Riad. It is very close to one of the main streets. Bed were comfortable. Rooftop & pool are really nice.

Cons: Wifi is not great. There was no hot water in one of the bathroom showers, so we had to use the other ones. Luckily there were 4 in total so this was not a very big issue. We also had a cat visit us as we saw some paw prints on the sofa during our stay. As the Riad is actually just an open building, they have easy access everywhere.

Cosy, Comfortable, Spacious

Pros: Ophélia and Nefissa were incredibly helpful. Highly recommend organising the transfer through the Riad. Nefissa met us at the meeting point and helped us navigate to the Riad. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space and the decor was lovely. The terrace was incredible at night under the stars. The pool was a nice reprieve from the heat of Marrakech. Well located in the Medina and close to restaurants and shops.

Cons: There’s nothing we didn’t like about the property and hosts.

Lovely house, would definitely recommend it!

Pros: Great property overall and very well located, the rooms and the house were clean and well maintained, and the small pool and the rooftop were amazing. The breakfast was always served on time and it had a great quality and a had a great variety. Nafissa, the house maid, was lovely, fun and super energetic and even though she didn’t speak any English and barely any French she was super helpful and was always trying to find a way to communicate with us. On the first day our A/C stopped working and after alerting the owner of the property the maintenance team came almost immediately and took care of the problem. The communication with Ophelia through WhatsApp was very easy and always quick and effective. The driver recommended by the property was excellent and the communication with him was extremely easy

Cons: The neighborhood kids know that the house is for tourists, so at times they played their drums loudly and knocked on the door in order to make the guests come out and give them money. Apparently during our stay there was a national holiday so there was a lot of noise from the street, and every night there would be a lot of noise from the drums and fireworks up until 3am.

Culturally rich and welcoming.

Pros: We liked how welcoming and informative the hosts were (Khaled and Nofissa). We also had a lot of space and the aesthetic of the riad was very nice.

Cons: AC was not the best in one of the rooms. Lock was quite stiff on the door too, but useable. Jacuzzi was not clean also.

Super séjour, riad charmant au cœur d’une médina authentique et animée.

Pros: Très bon séjour dans ce riad plein de charme ! Idéalement situé au cœur de la médina authentique, dans un quartier vivant et typique, parfait pour découvrir le vrai Marrakech. L’ambiance est animée, ce qui fait tout le charme du lieu. Accueil chaleureux, cadre agréable et belle expérience. Nous recommandons !

Très correct pour un petit Ryad privatif dans la médina .

Pros: L’emplacement … le Ryad est privé … sur 3 étages avec 3 chambres …. La vue depuis la terrasse…. Magnifique !
