A beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina

Pros: This is a beautiful Riad in the middle of the medina, it is decorated beautifully, clean & comfortable! I was able to contact the owner through WhatsApp & the staff were there in the mornings to answer any queries etc. Excellent location to visit the beautiful shops in the medina. The breakfast was beautiful too!

Cons: On our first night I should have booked a transfer with the owners but I actually booked it through booking.com & our taxi driver had no idea where the riad was, it was actually a 10 minute walk from where the taxi driver left us! It’s no fault of the owner only our own but we then had to try find the Riad wandering through the narrow streets with 4 children & lots of luggage with mopeds flying past us, it was very stressful! By the time we reached the Riad there was nobody there to meet us which was disappointing! luckily one of the neighbours came out & spoke to the owner in French as we can’t speak French & they were able to tell us that 1 of the staff would be with us in 15 minutes to let us in. The footpath outside the Riad is dirty so we were unable to sit down to rest I know this is nothing to do with the Riad itself, there was also kids kicking a ball against the door of the Riad, I didn’t mind as the kids have nowhere else to play but it may be annoying for some people. The Riad wasn’t practical for us as a family as the stairs are tiled so we used to really have to watch walking down these with the kids as you’d easily slip if you had wet feet from the plunge pool etc. also the 3rd bedroom is on the roof terrace & there was a door which had to be closed at night so I wasn’t happy with us being separated but luckily I had 2 teens that slept there the only problem was the call to prayer used always wake them up as it’s quiet loud from up there compared to inside the Riad.

A Truly Special Haven in Marrakech

Pros: Our stay at this beautiful riad was exceptional. The space itself is stylish, impeccably clean, and felt like a true home away from home. What sets it apart is the incredible staff. When our daughter fell ill, owner Sebastien was exceptionally helpful and caring. Meanwhile, housekeeper Mariam won us over with her kindness and amazing homemade cooking—especially the unforgettable New Year's Eve dinner. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. This riad will definitely be our base for all future visits to Marrakech.

A fantastic three-night stay in the heart of Marrakech with an amazing host, delicious varied breakfasts, and brilliant

Pros: We stayed in Marrakech for three nights, and the property was fantastic. A brilliant, brilliant host who looked after us amazingly well. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious – a different type each morning, which was a lovely touch. The host was incredibly helpful with any inquiries or activities and even helped us organise quad biking, which was brilliant. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Marrakech. Would highly, highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to experience the real Marrakech.

Terrific stay in a beautiful house in the medina. Wonderful hospitality, welcome and food.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home, perfectly located for exploring the area. The hospitality was outstanding—warm, welcoming, and truly memorable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and Miriam was an absolute delight. The meals she prepared, both dinner and breakfast, were absolutely delicious. We felt genuinely immersed in the local culture, which made the experience all the more exciting and enriching. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering the city and also took a scenic day trip to the breathtaking Atlas Mountains. An unforgettable experience all around.

Cons: The third bedroom was separate from the main house.

Spacious, clean and comfortable home in a fantastic location.

Pros: Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Dar Belhaj! The property is in a great location - tucked off the market on clean and quiet street. We really loved being in the Medina, and once we dropped a pin on the place, it was easy to find our way out and back \

Cons: Keep in mind the design of a house like this includes a lot of stairs, so if anyone in your party has trouble navigating steps, this may be a tricky place to stay. (For us it was not an issue. Touch wood.)

take it as long it's available! it's a hidden gem

Pros: the location in Medina is perfect - in the middle of the old town, yet quiet and safe; in addition, the host and the staff on-site is exceptional - helpful, discreet, attentive yet unobtrusive, so we felt like home - and Maryam is a true gem there; the place is beautifully decorated, with style and very good taste - you will be surrounded by artwork, and elegant objects; if I will be back to Marrakesh, and I will probably, I would like to stay there again; greetings to Maryam and the owners for creating this marvellous place

Cons: there's nothing I did not like

Superb place to stay with all your needs catered for

Pros: Location right in centre of Medina in a quiet backstreet, the Riad facilities were faultless. Bedrooms were comfortable, roof terrace stunning, living area was comfortable and the TV was set up well. Communication from Sebastian was spot on right from the beginning, he knew what we would need and had everything catered for. Collection arranged from airport, someone to carry bags to Riad, meals offered, fridge stocked, excursions catered for through trusted person. The price was fair for the extras, maybe slightly more than you could arrange yourself but it is worth it for the quality of the service. Miriam who arranged breakfast and meals was extremely kind and looked after us very well, her dinner was very high quality. The guardian Mohamed who met us on arrival and who visited regularly was very polite and helpful. All in all was beyond our expectations.

Really enjoyed our time! Easy to find, great location, super clean, and great interiors! Highly recommend!

Pros: The pictures simply don’t do this property justice! It’s such an expansive and beautiful space. The rooftop is such a great area. If you’re in a larger group, a few couples, you could stay here and not even feel like the other was close by in the riad. Perfect for relaxing after a hectic Medina day.

Cons: Everything was great!
