Riad Chez Henriette

A well positioned Riad and far enough away from the noise of the center so you can relax.

Pros: Moussa and the team made our visit to Marrakech very enjoyable. The welcome was apperciated as he explained the layout of the city and how to get to all the relevant tourist attractions. During our stay we had some extra requirements which the team went over and above to accomodae us. We would recommend Riad Chez Henriette to others travelling to Marrakech.

Cons: Nothing.

Overall it was a great place and was very happy with the choice

Pros: Location was prime, walking distance to the center, staff was super friendly. Abdel helped with any requests we had and was very hospitable

Cons: Nothing much that I disliked, maybe a TV would have been an added bonus

A beautiful cultural experience spent with friends.

Pros: The riad felt very homely and safe. It has a beautiful layout and close to the main square and souks. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us so well. Abdel was a very gracious host and good friend to us during our stay and helped us with restaurant reservations and activities to do to get the most out of Marrakesh.

Super kind staff.

Pros: Super kind staff always there to help and guide. Breakfast was the typical Maroccan one - good quality - tasty and the lady serving was kind and pleasant.

Cons: Room decoration is a bit old and uninteresting. I would say that although there was some good space in total in the room, the final situation seemed a bit crammed. The area where the bed (quite hard one!) is placed is actually really really tight leaving minimum space to move. As the case is in all Riads, the noise is an issue here too. Oct2025 there were significant road works in the plaza which is next to the Riad and there were tons of dust and mud - make sure you were not your best shoes! Finally, there are also works/extensions in the electricity grid of the area and there are very frequent power outages.

Would recommend, lovely stay!

Pros: Beautiful riad! The host looked after us when we had food poisoning coming from a different city. He was very helpful and all staff were kind to us. The road was clean, in a good location and service was top notch. Thank you!

Pros: The location is great, very close to the markets but far enough away to be quiet. The owners were lovely, the RIAD is beautiful and the breakfast was lovely!

“Great location and wonderful host”

Pros: The location was perfect, right next to the Medina. Abdel took amazing care of us and regularly checked in via WhatsApp to make sure we were doing well and hadn’t gotten lost, which made us feel very welcome and supported. The food was good and we enjoyed our meals there. The rooms were cleaned daily, and while you might notice a few little imperfections, that’s part of the authentic charm of a Riad in Marrakech – it’s not a luxury hotel, but for what it is, it’s truly great. The Riad itself is beautiful, full of light, with lovely traditional details and even more charming in person than in the photos. Overall, we felt very well looked after and had a wonderful stay.

The best host and great location

Pros: Our host Abdel was definitely the highlight of our stay at Chez Henriette! He recommended great places to try out local food but also went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and were not left wanting for anything. From waiting for us to check in the early hours of the morning to helping us get into the hotel when the key wouldnt work at 11pm, he was extremely accomodating and helpful. The breakfast served was also delicious and we could have had it for every meal. The location was great as it was a short walk to the main square and attractions but also less than a 30 min drive from the airport.. The only difficulty is if you are travelling with large suitcases, navigating the cobbled streets of the Medina looking for a taxi can be a little difficult but even this was made far easier thanks to Abdel's clear directions! Thanks Abdel for making our stay excellent!

Cons: Our only feedback would be that the air-conditioning in the room be directed towards the bed as we felt extremely hot on the days that we stayed there due to the air conditioning blowing the other way. Abdel helped us with this too as a table fan made a huge difference to the comfort level and we were no longer awake for long hours sweating.

Good (not perfect) Riad in a good location

Pros: The riad is very well located if you intend to do everything on foot. It was clean, the facilities were good. The staff is friendly and attentive and always ready to help out planning your day.

Cons: If you need to use a taxi, the access by car is not that easy meaning you will always end up paying a little extra. Better to walk if possible and grab a taxi somewhere else. This was not a big problem for us as we mainly walked but worth considering if you have mobility problems. The way to the riad is a bit shady at night as it's not well lit but we had no troubles. During our stay, there were electricity problems outside of the riad's control (external source) that meant the electricity was going out every 5 minutes and with it, the WiFi and AC (which beeps loudly each time the electricity comes back). We believe there were ways to mitigate this (battery powered light sources, power outage prevention plugs for the WiFi router) but not much was done even though the situation stretched for at least 3 days. Even though it was not the riad's fault entirely, it still affected the quality of our rest and thus our ability to enjoy our stay to the fullest. If you get loud insensitive guests staying at the same time as you (as we did), it's going to be occasionally loud inside your room as well, especially if you are staying on the bottom floor next to the breakfast areas. I recommend taking earplugs. Also having warnings about keeping it low while inside the riad should help.

Pros: Everyone at this gorgeous Riad was super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, well done!
