Riad Sophora - Peaceful Heaven in Marrakech

Definitely a memorable stay at a great price.

Pros: Everything was spectacular. The Riad is fantastic, spacious, very welcoming, well decorated, very beautiful and comfortable. Aziz was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Cons: The shower water was a little difficult to adjust to the temperature, but it was pleasant afterwards. Nothing really negative to point out.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Riad Sophora. The riad itself is beautifully designed, very well equipped, and offers a calm and authentic atmosphere. Our host Aziz was extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location is about a 20-minute walk to the heart of the Medina, which was convenient for sightseeing. Although the surrounding area is not the most attractive, once inside the riad everything is comfortable and peaceful. Overall, we were very satisfied and would gladly recommend Riad Sophora.

Pros: Beautiful riad, everything was super clean and the amenities well prepared. Contact with the host is also very good, location is 5min walking to exit the Medina and catch a taxi which is a huge advantage if you want to avoid the crowds.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Beautiful, stylish and spacious place. In the middle of a lively neighbourhood and within the chaotic small roads of the medina a wonderful place to find your rest. The local host is helpful and very kind. Speaks both English as French.

Great Riad, friendly locality and value for money

Pros: Good location - lively and unique area with cultural vibe. Shops and food nearby. Walk to Medina is not bad, around 25 mins or less. Riad is good as described. Safe and quiet area with hustle and bustle a minute away. Aziz and Hakim were helpful and responsive.

Cons: The property was meant to have a TV but there wasn’t one. Host confirmed that it is due to be installed / replaced soon. Made our time a bit difficult with kids. Breakfast is pricey and not as traditional as you’d expect. Consider upgrading wifi as very slow even when you're sat in front of the router! Consider changing mattress toppers as not very comfortable. Finally, although Riad is very pretty and retained in its original form, it could do with some minor upgrades to give it a fresh feel.

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Sophora- the character, furnishings, cleanliness, facilities etc. made our holiday. I particularly liked the neighborhood, it was so nice to be based in an area which was more authentic (but in easy walk for the more popular tourist areas.) What was also very reassuring for me was the support from Aziz whenever we needed advice, or Hakim to support us when we needed transport. (Communication with Sibylle our host, was also excellent throughout.)

Cons: Nothing, I will definitely return and stay here again.

An enchanting riad that we will never forget

Pros: I came here with my family for 8 days over Christmas. We absolutely loved the riad--fantastic architecture, beautiful decor, large, sunny terrace, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and loads of space for our family of 5. It exceeded our expectations. It was such an oasis of calm after a busy day out. Aziz was helpful and gave us good advice about Marrakech. He was there to greet us and helped us with our bags while he showed us the way to the riad. He also took us to the main square and back so we would learn the way. He made us a lovely breakfast on Christmas Day. We felt good knowing that he was there to help us in case of problems. Hakim, though out of town, helped provide us with a driver for our trips to and from the airport and our day trips. He was always very prompt in his responses to my messages. I highly recommend this riad for your stay in the medina.

Pros: Para el precio que tiene muy bien, bastante amplio, todas las habitaciones con camas de matrimonio y muy cómodas. El personal muy amable,nos dejaron dos botellas de agua en la nevera, tienen servicio de taxi propio y te recogen del aeropuerto y te llevan a un precio muy barato. No puedes reservar el taxi con otra compañía porque llegar al riad es prácticamente imposible, no hay calles con nombres como en el resto de mundo, por lo tanto el taxi con ellos directamente, te lo ofrecen al hacer la reserva.

Cons: Si no te importa andar 20 minutos a la plaza, nada.
