Excellent Riad behind the medina

Pros: I have stayed here before and love it. Its a bit out of the centre from the main square but it is easily accessible by taxi. We didn't use pool but the cafe near the house and the shops are reasonable and good quality. The security on the gate is encouraging. Flexible arrival due to keys in safety box is useful when plans change. Overall a lovely riad and helpful owner and staff.

Cons: On arrival we had to pay the city tax , which I am aware of but I paid it to the man at the security gate and it appears he did not pay the hotel owner , which is a shame as that left a bit of animosity between us a he was not paid, and I had already paid the tax. One tip I would say is for the owner or his staff to ensure that when communicating with the guests in messages on booking .com, please confirm not to pay the security or anyone who asks and wait until they meet the owner at the Riad. It left me feeling guilty although I had paid already . Watch out for staff who offer to help you locate the riad as the man was stood at security and took the city tax., then he followed us to show us the riad. He talks to the security officer so is obviously known as staff there.

Beautiful shared Riad , lots to do in the complex

Pros: Beautiful riad in the village , lots inside the complex . Shared lounge and kitchen . 20 minutes in taxi to the medina and square .

Cons: A little outside of the centre .

Pros: Great looking riad, with a beautiful common room and rooftop terrace! Extremely clean! Located in a gated complex with security near the Medina! Friendly hosts! 10++++++++++

Closed Condominium

Pros: It's a self service accomodation, i.e., it does not have any staff. After booking you are given a code to unlock the key holder at the door and pick up the key for the front door and for your assigned room. Downstairs you will find a kitchen and a lounge area. Up the stairs there's the rooms and a small terrace. The Riad is located within a closed condominium near Bab Aylan. To enter the condominium you need to show the security guard your booking with the Riad and present passports. You are given a paper that will allow you to get in and out the gatted premises. Within the premises you'll find several restaurants and grocery shops with very reasonable prices. It is an excelente place to stay if you bring your own car or a rented one. The medina is across the street and place Jmaa El-Fnaa about 30 min walking.

Overall, wonderful trip.

Pros: Loved the location, Felt very safe, people are very friendly and helpful. Good cafes nearby. Really enjoyed getting the local bus to the Medina (only 3dhs).

Cons: Not the best if your'e a light sleeper. Building is a bit of an echo chamber but not much can be done about that. :0)

Pros: Nice and clean place, away from the noise of the city.

Cons: I was asked for extra 50 Dirham for some unspecified tax but the booking mentioned that all taxes are included in the purchase. I Payed 20 because i had no cash on me left as it was my last day.

Comfortable and relaxed stay in a good location!

Pros: Pool was lovely, Sadki was very helpful and friendly, nice part of town to stay in.

Cons: The beds were very squeaky, but that’s about it! Other than that, great stay.

Pros: It's a new build in a condominium, which is not what I expected at all but it is very nice. On the edge of town but easy walk to the local medina and 20 - 30 minute walk to the main djemma al fna square, or a short taxi ride. Good, cheap restaurants 2 minutes away. Really nice swimming pools.

Cons: Swimming pool is a couple of hundred metres away up the street. Room is comfortable but small and hot.

Pros: The hotel was great value for money and we were looked after very well by the locals - they made us feel comfortable and it made our stay in Marrakesh 10/10

Cons: The location is around a 10/15 minute drive from Djemaa El Fna, however the taxi prices were very fair and reasonable so this was not an issue.

Cons: Wir waren in der Nebensaison da und waren deshalb alleine im Haus Haben keinen persönlichen Kontakt vor Ort gehabt mit dem Vermieter
